That is something I need to think of often, using it as a checkpoint as I interact daily with my family and really anyone.  I just got done reading a book you might be interested in, too. It is about getting our children reading for fun and it provides lots of examples and activities for you to have fun with your kids.  It is called Raising Bookworms, by Emma Walton Hamilton.
